Stardew Valley
Find a Stardew Valley co-op partner
Stardew is a lovely game alone and a better one with someone on the farm next to you. Here's how multiplayer works and how to find a partner who plays like you.
How Stardew multiplayer works
1. Shared farm
One player hosts the farm and others join as farmhands with their own cabins.
2. Up to 8 players
PC supports up to 8 players. Most consoles cap at 4, while Switch 2 allows up to 8 online.
3. Online or split screen
Play online, over LAN, or split screen on one screen.
4. Shared or separate money
The host picks whether gold is pooled or each player keeps their own.
5. Time only moves together
The day ends when everyone goes to bed, so talk about your routine.
6. Marriage between players
Players can marry each other with a Wedding Ring. You craft it from a recipe sold at the Traveling Cart.
Finding a good farming partner
Agree on pace: some people min-max, some just fish all day
Split the jobs, like one on crops and one on mining
Find someone online at the same times as you
Ask what they love about the game in your first message
